Buckle up, Aries. Eclipse season is fully underway as November begins. We’re coming in on the tailwind of the Scorpio solar eclipse on October 25, which may have rocked some of your most intimate connections or brought surprise financial developments. The November 8 Taurus lunar eclipse has another round of changes in store, this time for your daily finances and lifestyle. Is it time to upgrade to first class…or downsize to a more sustainable situation?
You’ll have the attention span to ponder all of that for the first three weeks of November as the Sun moves through Scorpio and your focused eighth house. Then, Sagittarius season arrives on November 22, pulling you out of your cocoon and back into the wider world—just in time for the holidays.
If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving in the United States, this year (finally) looks like it won’t be fraught with politics and pandemics. Buoyant Jupiter ends its retrograde the day before, in sync with the Sagittarius new moon. This should lift our spirits in time to enjoy the Sun, moon, chatty Mercury AND harmonious Venus all doing carpool karaoke in Sagittarius together on November 24. Now, that’s more like it!
We don’t rule out a surprise plot twist, especially a month after an eclipse—and a couple weeks after midterm elections. But fingers crossed for a turkey trot into a happier holiday season than we’ve had in a while. Not exactly the highest bar to cross!
Intensity! It’s Scorpio season until November 22
Diving deep! You’re focused on a particular topic or mission as November begins, and it will be nearly impossible to pry your attention away. Not that you need to, Aries. With the Sun in Scorpio and your eighth house of intimacy, mergers and laser concentration, this is THE time of year to give it your all. During Scorpio season, you’re likely to crave more privacy or the company of just a few close people. Focus on quality over quantity!
That said, if you start obsessing and lose sight of the bigger picture, you may need to snap yourself out of occasional bouts of tunnel vision. A great day to reframe your emotions and gain some grounded perspective arrives on November 11, when the Sun forms a sobering semiannual square to Saturn. If you don’t feel like you have a group of friends you can count on or the team’s not pulling its weight, make sure you’re adequately sharing the power.
The November 8 Taurus full moon is a total lunar eclipse
Personal financial revolution: incoming! On November 8, the Taurus full moon arrives dressed as a total lunar eclipse, the second in a series of eclipses that began on November 19, 2021, and will ripple across the Taurus/Scorpio axis until October 28, 2023.
Your approach to spending, saving and investing has been getting a major overhaul for the last year, and now you’re midway through the process. A financial matter you’ve been working on for the past six months could resolve at this full moon, hopefully with a prosperous and happy outcome. If you’ve been hunting for a job or a new source of income, these moonbeams can light the way. Ready to kick a bad habit before the holidays? With la luna in your house of daily routines, you can swap self-defeating patterns for regimens that boost your vitality.
This particular eclipse will make contact with a number of planets. The full moon is conjunct (together with) radical changemaker Uranus, which could bring a major money turning point. While any sudden money news can be jarring, it can also force you to powerfully address something you’ve avoided, ultimately ushering you onto firmer fiscal footing. One of your cutting-edge ideas could blow up, or you might be offered a too-good-to-refuse job completely out of the blue.
Not so fast, Aries: This moon-Uranus duo is in a challenging T-square (three-way tug of war) with tough Saturn in your teamwork house and a Sun-Mercury-Venus trio in Scorpio, your eighth house of investments and joint ventures. While you might need to collaborate in order to truly profit, choosing the right people has never been more crucial. Heed the saying “beware the flatterer.” A smooth-talking person could charm you right out of your power and profits if you’re not extremely discerning. Screen everyone thoroughly!
November 19: Mars-Neptune square
Striking a balance between head and heart could be tricky today as your ruler, insistent Mars, locks horns with hazy Neptune, creating chaos and confusion. Your efforts to get clear information could feel stymied at every turn, especially with Mars retrograde in communicative Gemini. But is this a blessing in disguise? If you’ve been pushing too hard for an answer, you could interfere with divine timing. Allow the universe to give you a plan instead of elbowing your way in. Careful about dishing out unsolicited advice, too. Ask permission before you jump in with an answer—do you really know what this person’s going through? This is the second of three Mars-Neptune squares: The first was on October 12, the next will be on March 14, 2023.
November 22: Sun enters Sagittarius and November 23 Sagittarius new moon
Perspective returns—refreshingly—starting November 22, when the Sun soars into Sagittarius and heats up your ninth house of travel, adventure and growth. For the next month, go wide instead of deep. Explore all the enticing opportunities that pop up to stretch beyond your comfort zone. You can narrow down your choices later. For now, the idea is to think (and dream) big!
The November 23 Sagittarius new moon plants the seeds for a visionary venture, perhaps one that involves a long-distance journey, a return to school or developing an entrepreneurial venture. Did eclipse season spark a moneymaking idea? Over the next six months, a couple of those wild notions could turn into something tangible!
Healing conclusions: Jupiter retrograde ends November 23
Got a chapter of your life to close? Expansive Jupiter, which has been weaving between Aries and Pisces since May 2022, will end a four-month retrograde this November 23. For the past month (since October 28), Jupiter’s been finishing up a three-part visit to Pisces and your twelfth house of closure, healing and deep creativity that started back on May 13, 2021, and will complete on December 20 of this year.
The silver lining? On December 20, right before the holidays, Jupiter will bound back into YOUR sign until mid-May 2023. Get ready for a surge of luck and exciting momentum on your plans! Until then, release what no longer serves you and make room for the new. You’re learning to receive instead of controlling or micromanaging—to stop swimming upstream and just float with the currents.
Over the past year and a half, Jupiter’s visit to Pisces could have dredged up old memories or grief. You may have dealt with a health issue or just felt more tired and run-down if you pushed yourself too hard. Downshift, Aries. For the next month, make letting go your priority. Declutter. Forgive. Mourn. Surrender. Say “I don’t know” and see what or who shows up instead of trying to come up with all the answers. Allow magic to show up in that space.
